Shadow Vet Drone Ops started from a simple frustration: too many useful technologies become available long before they become practical or affordable for the everyday landowner, farmer or rancher.
The goal from the beginning was to help close that gap. A Mississippi producer should not need a massive acreage count or enterprise-level budget to benefit from precision aerial work. A cattle producer with a difficult pasture, a hunting-property owner trying to improve a food plot, a small municipality managing drainage, or a landowner dealing with a pond should be able to call someone local, explain the problem and get a realistic answer about whether a drone can help.
That is the company Shadow Vet is working to build: professional enough for commercial and government missions, but still local enough to understand that every acre, every dollar and every relationship matters. We want the technology to serve Mississippi people—not make them feel like the technology was built for somebody else.

Landis leads aircraft operations, mission planning and field execution. Brittany leads much of the customer, relationship, operations and marketing side of the business. Together, they are building Shadow Vet around professional execution and personal accountability.
James “Landis” Prince
Landis founded Shadow Vet Drone Ops to combine aviation discipline, field-tested planning and practical unmanned-aircraft capability with a business model focused on Mississippi customers.
He served 12 years in the U.S. Army, including two deployments to Iraq. His military background included work as a UH-60 Blackhawk avionics and electronics mechanic along with service as military police. That experience built the habits that now shape Shadow Vet: aircraft discipline, troubleshooting, logistics, mission planning and risk management.
After military service, Landis worked in law enforcement, including service as a Rankin County Deputy Sheriff with Special Response Team certification and heavy-vehicle responsibilities, followed by patrol experience with Capitol Police.
His technical background also includes electronics, vehicle diagnostics and mobile field-service work. At Shadow Vet, Landis directs mission assessment, aircraft selection, flight planning, safety, compliance, field logistics and operational execution.
The business is an extension of the same mindset: define the objective, understand the environment, use the right equipment, control the risk and finish the mission with the customer knowing exactly what was done.

Brittany Prince
Brittany is Shadow Vet Drone Ops’ Operations Manager and a central part of how the company turns a first customer conversation into an organized, professional project.
She holds a degree in business management and marketing and brings professional experience in sales, account management, relationship development and customer communication. That background gives Shadow Vet a dedicated operational and customer-facing perspective alongside Landis’ aviation and field-operations experience.
Brittany helps coordinate customer intake, follow-up, scheduling, outreach, proposals, event participation and the day-to-day communication that keeps projects moving. She also plays a major role in the company’s marketing direction and in building relationships with producers, landowners, local organizations, public-sector contacts and business partners.
She has increasingly become one of the public voices of Shadow Vet, representing the company in community and educational outreach and helping explain how a drone project comes together from the first conversation through planning and execution.
Her role is intentionally broader than “marketing.” Brittany helps connect the customer’s problem to the operational side of the company—making sure questions get answered, details do not fall through the cracks and relationships continue after the aircraft lands.

Phoenix and Georgia Mae are the daily motivation behind the mission.
Shadow Vet is being built as a family business with a long view. Landis and Brittany want their children to see what it looks like to build something through service, discipline, relationships and a willingness to keep learning.
Phoenix and Georgia Mae are both part of the Florence school community, and their activities keep the Prince family rooted in the same town and relationships Shadow Vet serves. The goal is bigger than building a drone company—it is building something their children can be proud of and showing them that success can be created at home by serving the people around you well.
That family motivation is also why Shadow Vet’s Mississippi focus matters. The company’s growth is meant to strengthen the family, support local customers and contribute to the communities the Prince family calls home.
Phoenix Prince
Phoenix plays football for both Florence school athletics and Florence Recreation. He also serves as a Florence Beta Club officer, combining athletics with student leadership and involvement in his school community.
Georgia Mae Prince
Georgia Mae cheers with Florence Recreation and is a member of her school’s Venture program. Her school and community involvement are another part of what keeps the Prince family connected to Florence.
